The Wind Farm - What About it?

If you're interested in alternative energy sources (and who isn’t these days of record-high oil prices!), it's important to know a few things. There is a lot of press over the last few days about wind farm sources of electricity, for example. So, what is the real deal here - is this a tree hugger conspiracy or something more?

Let’s quickly review what a wind farm is:

1. Wind turbines, or windmills, spin in the wind
2. Spinning turbines are connected to and “crank” generators

What good is a wind farm and the alternative energy it represents?

1. Reduce use of fossil fuels
2. Reduce overall CO2 emissions
3. Reduce overall energy prices

The short answer? Wind farms are here to stay.

According to the American Wind Energy Association (awes.com), 2007 was a “record year for new wind installations” and 2008 looks to match 2007 in new installations.

If you are interested in how your bank account can benefit and you can learn be a good steward of this beautiful creation by reducing your energy costs by up to 80% and becoming environmentally sound, research the following options:

1. Hybrid "Water Car"

2. Solar and Wind Power for Your Home

3. Hydrogen - Clean Fuel
